A used Sonus guitar with a straight neck and excellent playability is now available! Specializing in the production of high-quality basses using carbon fiber for the neck, Zon inst ruments maximize the performance of both the carbon fiber neck and the wood, resulting in an overwhelmingly responsive and uniquely clear, powerful sound free from muddiness or dead spots in the higher positions. Compared to the flagship Legacy Elite model, the Sonus is a Zon-style traditional model featuring a bolt-on neck and J-style pickups. Combined with a lightweight ash body, it delivers a quick attack and rich resonance, resulting in a Zon-exclusive instrument. This is a model from the early 2000s featuring a Phenowood fingerboard, which is made by impregnating hardwood with phenolic resin. While it lacks a truss rod, the neck remains straight and the frets are in good condition. There was some slight crackling in the potentiometers, but they have all been cleaned, maintained, and set up, and are now fully functional. There is a small gouge in the wood near the jack on the side of the body, and other scratches and dents are visible, but the body top has been polished and is in very good condition. The neck has one paint crack near the nut, and there are some paint chips on the side and end of the fretboard, but none of these should be particularly noticeable during playability.
