The Killer V was inspired by some incredibly cool and unique amplifiers that originated in California, USA, during the 1950s and 60s. These amplifiers featured a very distinctive frequency modulation based on a true pitch-shift vibrato circuit. Every detail of these designs—the operation, sound, and feel of the preamp, phase inverter, power amp, and tube rectifier compression/sag—has been copied. By applying JFET technology, we were able to reproduce not only overdrive sounds but also low-gain/clean sounds. Most importantly, it emulates an LFO and a dual phase-shift modulation stage to create a pitch modulation effect that closely resembles the real thing. This effect enhances the 3D sonic image and musical feel. As with most of the original designs, we've also added the option to place the dry (unmodulated) signal in parallel with the wet (modulated) signal, creating a swirling phaser/vibe sound.Condition: No problems with use.
