He achieved great success as the guitarist for Creed and Alter Bridge, and continues to be active as a guitarist and songwriter. Mark's relationship with PRS began when he was asked to try using a PRS guitar during the tour following the release of Creed's debut album, "My Own Prison." "When I got an offer from PRS, I jumped for joy. It was a brand I couldn't afford no matter how much I wanted it during my high school and college days." PRS sent Mark a McCarty model, which he immediately loved, and for a time he played only the McCarty. However, he eventually felt he needed a guitar that matched his own playing style, and this became the starting point for the Mark Tremonti model. His requests were for a pickup with a bit more power for backing, where he frequently uses palm muting, and a neck that suited his own style, which is influenced by thrash metal, shred, and traditional blues. The result is the Mark Tremonti Signature with a Pattern Thin neck. This powerful, rock-oriented instrument is definitely worth considering. *Regarding the condition, there are no noticeable dents or damage to the frets, and approximately 80% of the frets remain. The truss rod also has plenty of adjustment range. The electrical system is in good working order, but there is extensive buckle wear, scratches throughout, paint cracks near the tuning peg screws on the back of the headstock, minor dents, and tarnishing on the metal parts. *Please refer to the photos for any particularly noticeable large scratches or damage.
