In 1989, ATELIER Z was created for Tomohito Aoki. The M#245, which can be considered the symbol of the brand, is his signature model and the first product released by ATELIER Z. In June 2006, he sadly passed away, and after going through several evolutionary Tomohito Aoki models, this model, which appeared in 2018, is the final form he arrived at, a tool that could express his capabilities to the fullest. The body is made of carefully selected heavy-weight ash and finished in a soft, vintage color that gives it the look and feel of aged wood. Above all, the "Tomohito Aoki signature" on the headstock gives it an overwhelming presence as a signature model. Other features include a Hipshot D-tuner (ATELIER Z Custom) using GOTOH/GB-30 pickups. The preamp is a Bartolini/TCT preamp, which allows for a 300Hz midrange cut.
