It's exactly the same as the BOSS compact series, a classic floor-type effects pedal for guitar and bass. It can be set up just like any other effects pedal, and tuning can be done quickly with the pedal. It features high-brightness LEDs and a dome-shaped panel that are easy to see even outdoors or under strong light such as spotlights. The LED meter and note name/string number indicators allow you to quickly check the pitch deviation of each string and tune accordingly. The LEDs can also display a stream meter, which shows tuning deviations through the direction and speed of the LEDs' movement. In chromatic mode, you can check the pitch in semitone increments, and in guitar/bass mode, you can check the pitch of each string. The bass mode also supports 5-string basses. Furthermore, it supports flat tuning and double flat tuning for guitars and basses. When you press the pedal to turn on the tuner, the sound output from the OUTPUT is muted (the BYPASS always outputs), allowing you to tune instantly without making any noise, even on stage.
