This wide-ranging program visits locations both sides of the river Mersey where the Beatles honed their talents. Sites are as varied as Bootle, the tough industrial town; New Brigh ton, the fairground paradise of Liverpudlians; and Southport, the more sedate Edwardian approximation of a seaside resort.
