From Italy, this is a fine quality textured cotton woven. It is a shirting/dress weight that is nearly opaque with a cottony drape. The woven-in design features stripes of varying styles (5" repeat) which run horizontally across the fabric, creating a tone-on-tone texture and pattern. The color is classic black. It has a slight VERTICAL stretch so you can lay your garment pieces across the grain, so that the stripes run vertically and the slight stretch runs horizontally.
