Maintain precise control over your electric heating stages with the Lennox 88K09 Sequencer. Specifically engineered for electric furnaces and air handlers, this triple stacked thermal time delay relay manages the staggered activation of heating elements and blower motors. By sequencing these high-amperage loads, the 88K09 prevents hazardous circuit overloads and eliminates sudden voltage drops at startup, ensuring the long-term reliability of the system’s electrical infrastructure. This 24V HVAC sequencer features a factory-calibrated timing range of 1 to 110 seconds for both "on" and "off" cycles. As a genuine Lennox OEM replacement part, it offers a direct fit for professional technicians servicing various Lennox residential and commercial units, such as the 28K36 model. Its robust construction is designed to withstand the high-cycle demands of cold-weather operation, providing a definitive solution for units experiencing issues with elements staying energized or failing to engage in the correct order. Key Benefits Multi-Stage Sequencing: The triple stack sequencer design allows for the independent control of multiple heating element banks and fan circuits. System Protection: Staggered startup reduces the initial electric furnace sequencer current draw, protecting the 24V transformer and internal wiring. Universal 24V Compatibility: Standard low-voltage coil facilitates seamless integration into existing Lennox control circuits. Precision Timing: Thermal delay mechanism ensures consistent logic-based activation and deactivation regardless of ambient temperature fluctuations. Common Questions What are the symptoms of a failing Lennox 88K09? Common indicators include heating elements that remain stuck "on" after the thermostat is satisfied, or blower fans that fail to start after the elements have energized, which can lead to limit switch tripping. Can this part replace other Lennox sequencer numbers? Yes, the 88K09 is an direct Lennox 88K0901 replacement and often supersedes older part numbers like 305879. Always verify the terminal configuration before installation. Does this sequencer handle the blower motor timing? Yes, in most electric furnace configurations, one stack of this heat sequencer relay is dedicated to the blower motor to ensure air flows only after the elements have reached operating temperature.
