This gives you cleaner pickup and better control. Step 1: Grip the fan closest to the base and peel towards you.(This helps minimise damage to the fanned-out strands.) Step 2: Place the fan down, then pick it up again from the mid-way point — away from the stem — so you can dip the base into adhesive without your tweezers getting in the way. When dipping into adhesive, only apply glue to the bottom of the stem for the best retention and clean application.
