Hypoallergenic ion-plated earring posts with a loop. Say what? Ion Plating? There's a bunch of science behind it, but the short story is that Ion Plating is lighter, 8x more durabl e and more eco-friendly than regular plating. It is particularly suited to stainless steel and creates a far more hypoallergenic finish than stainless steel alone. It is a more expensive process, but your earring finish will last much longer. I have a pair of Ion Plated leverbacks that are 25 years old! NOTE: A bit more chemistry.
