8"x10" original botanical cyanotype printed on 100% cotton white denim and stretched on a 3/4" thick wood canvas, set in a solid wood float frame. This one of a kind cyanotype was printed with sunlight and made from Queen Anne's Lace that I harvested along the country roads surrounding our farm. Art is shipped from Saxapahaw, NC. About the cyanotype process: Cyanotype is a centuries-old photographic process that uses sunlight and a UV-sensitive chemistry to create “blue prints” of images on paper or fabric. When sunlight hits paper that has been painted with the UV-sensitive solution, everything exposed to the UV light turns a deep Prussian blue after being rinsed in water, and anywhere that was blocked from the light turns white/light blue.
