Wood Spade Bits Wood spade bits are used to bore through studs, plywood, and planks easily. The spade bits are flat, with a centering point and two cutters. The cutters are equippe d with spurs to help ensure a cleaner hole. With their small shank diameters relative to their boring diameters, spade bit shanks have flats to prevent slipping in drill chucks. Works with either quick-change or standard chuck drills and drivers. Each of our spade bits are forged, heat-treated and clearly stamped for easy size identification.
