Designed by Richard Sapper for Alessi, the 9090 Caffettiera was the first espresso maker in Alessi's history and the first Alessi object to be inducted into the Museum of Modern Ar t's Permanent Design Collection. This iconic piece, a product of one of the most important industrial designers of the last century, is famous for its sleek design and innovative hinged handle which releases the top from the bottom (as opposed to unscrewing it) and non-drip spout.
