Added a tunable attenuator in the HF path, adjustable from 0 to -31.5dB. 2. Updated the fixed LNA to a Variable Gain Amplifier (VGA), offering a range of -10dB to +33dB applicable to both HF and VHF. 3. Incorporated the advanced tuner chip R828D, replacing the R820T2. 4. Enhanced 64M Low Pass Filter (LPF) to improve image rejection. 5. Switchable reference clock via jumper: internal or external 27MHz. The primary goal is to provide users with finer control over the RF front-end and a wide dynamic range, accommodating both strong and weak signal reception. The tunable range spans from -41.5dB to +33dB for HF and 0dB to 55dB for VHF, meeting most usage scenarios. In collaboration with IK1XPV, the original author of BBRF103, we've developed a universal driver supporting both RX888 and RX-888 MKII. We anticipate that open-source collaboration will greatly enhance software support and extend the RX888's lifespan.
