From Italian designer deadstock, this stunning novelty weave textured stripe features an intricate basketweave with a varying yarn-dyed design that has a 4.25" repeat. It is a heav ier suiting weight with a dry hand and some cottony firmness in the drape. It is just about opaque and the colors are light ecru, smoke gray and black (PANTONE 11-0606, 18-4105 but a bit lighter, etc.). This fabric is stable in both directions, so your garment pieces could be layed out lengthwise or widthwise. It can also be fringed along the widthwise edge, making it perfect for a Chanel-style jacket, suit, skirt, etc. Sophisticated and stunning!
