BCMA expression has been found in immune organs and mature B cell lines.The binding of BCMA to APRIL or BAFF has been shown to stimulate IgM production in peripheral blood B cells and increase the survival of cultured B cells. It contains Met1-Ala54. Molecular Weight The protein has a predicted MW of 29.5 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 30-48 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. Purity > 95% as determined by Tris-Bis PAGE and HPLC. Endotoxin < 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. Reconstitution Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/ml` is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Storage The products are shipped with ice pack and can be stored at -20℃ for 1 year. 2-7 days, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 -6 months, -20 to -80°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
