Four distinct genes encoding closely related FGF receptors, FGF R1 - 4. All four genes for FGF Rs encode proteins with an N-terminal signal peptide, three immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains, an acid-box region containing a run of acidic residues between the IgI and IgII domains, a transmembrane domain and the split tyrosine-kinase domain. Only the alpha isoform has been identified for FGF R3 and FGF R4. Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) comprise a family of at least eighteen structurally related proteins that are involved in a multitude of physiological and pathological cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, angiogenesis, wound healing and tumorgenesis. Specifications Synonyms FGF R2a, FGFR2 alpha, KGFR, CD332, BBDS, BEK, BFR-1, CEK3, CFD1, ECT1, JWS, K-SAM, KGFR, TK14, TK25, FLJ98662 Uniprot No. P21802-3 Source Recombinant Human FGFR2 alpha (IIIb) Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with hFc tag at the C-terminal. It contains Arg22-Glu378. Molecular Weight Approximately 66.4 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 80-115 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Purity > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC Activity ELISA Data: Immobilized Human FGFR2 alpha IIIb, hFc tag at 0.5 μg/mL (100 μL/Well). Dose response curve for Biotinylated Anti-FGFR2 Ab., hFc Tag with the EC50 of 10.0 ng/mL determined by ELISA. Endotoxin < 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. Formulation Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. Reconstitution Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL` is recommended (usually we use 1 mg/mL solution for lyophilization). Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Storage Transport in ice packs. Store at -20°C to -80°C, valid for one year. After reconstitution, store at -20 to -80°C in unopened state for 3-6 months. After reconstitution, store at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. It is recommended to store in aliquots and frozen for first use to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Note 1. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. 2. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves when operating. 3. This product is for scientific research purposes only.
