Amontillado is an exquisite dry sherry that is darker than Fino and lighter than Oloroso, maturing under a cap of flor and then exposed to the air for further oxidation. Ageing Kav alan's new-make spirit in Amontillado sherry casks, produces aromas of toasted almond, hazelnut and caramel with an elegant and long finish. Aromas: Multi-layered richness and fruity aroma, complemented with dried figs, sweet and sour plum, embellished with the aroma of fresh and delicate peony, ending with hazelnut, almond, and light toffee with oaky undertones. Palate: Notes of cherry infused with baked apple pie, coffee and cinnamon with caramel aromas.
