The application of new technology, including artificial intelligence, is playing an increasing role in the practice of architecture from performance evaluation and data capture to project delivery. But not all architects have taken advantage of these developments, and there is a growing sense that if firms don’t incorporate emerging technologies into practice they’ll get left behind. What are the practical advances available to architects today? Using actual case studies, this session explores the opportunities and challenges of these new technologies for the architecture profession. This session was recorded in May 2022.Speakers Maryam Al-Irhayim, RIBA VP for Students and Associates - host Maria Mamoura, Bryden Wood Architects Manuela Gatto/Ulrich Blum, Zaha Hadid Architects Neil Leach, author of ‘Architecture in the Age of AI’ and 'Machine Hallucinations' Please note that the on demand video will expire 12 months after enrolling onto the module.
