Michael di Cosola This 1971 Modernist oil painting is by Abstract Surrealist San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola studied at the Chicago Art Institute befo re moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the neighborhood's art scene and exhibited at several Bay Area art galleries in the 1960s. Di Cosola is known for psychedelic, Surrealist portraiture and abstractions. March 11th, 1971 Oil on Canvas 36"x48" unframed Signed lower right, dated on the back. Excellent vintage condition.
