Michael di Cosola This late 20th century bright oil pastel and graphite geometric abstract is by Abstract Surrealist San Francisco artist Michael di Cosola (1929-2010). Di Cosola s tudied at the Chicago Art Institute before moving to the Bay Area to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had a studio in North Beach during the height of the neighborhood's art scene and exhibited at several Bay Area art galleries in the 1960s. Di Cosola is known for psychedelic, Surrealist portraiture and abstractions. Late 20th Century Oil Pastel & Graphite on Paper 6.25"x9.25" unframed Estate stamped in the image area in the lower left.
