F.) to aid in the physical ability testing of fire department candidates. The vest weighs 50 lbs., simulating the weight of the fire fighter's protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. It is also designed to allow for the addition of two 2-lb. weights on the shoulders to simulate a high-rise pack (hose bundle).
