DESCRIPTION This tie dates from the 1940s and is of Swedish origin. It was originally sold by Westend in Stockholm. It is made from Rhodia silk, a trade name for a high-quality art ificial silk (rayon) that was commonly used for ties during this period. It is possible that the tie was manufactured abroad and subsequently imported into Sweden. The tie features a fine small-check pattern in shades of red and grey, giving it a subtle yet distinctive appearance. The condition is exceptional - virtually as new.
