Jane Mitchell This 1960-70s abstract monotype on Japanese rice paper is by East Coast painter, printmaker, and designer Jane Mitchell (1915-1988). Mitchell studied Art History and Fine Art at Wheaton College and University of Iowa. She lived and worked in Ibiza, Spain during the 1950s-60s and was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Mitchell exhibited throughout the U.S. and Spain during her lifetime. 1960-70s Monotype on Japanese Rice Paper 19.5"x12.5" unframed Signed lower right.
