Jennings Tofel This early 20th century mimeograph on paper surreal figure scene is by Polish-born New York Expressionist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Georgia O 'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Tofel is known for his allegorical, Expressionist figurative scenes. Early 20th Century Mimeograph on Paper 11.5"x7.5" framed, 3.5"x1.25" unframed Initialed lower right. Excellent vintage condition. Framed in a restored vintage hand carved wood frame using 8-ply archival matting behind conservation clear glass. Show more
