Jennings Tofel This early-mid 20th century mimeograph on paper surreal figure scene with abstracted dancers is by Polish-born New York Expressionist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tof el was a friend of Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Tofel is known for his allegorical, Expressionist figurative scenes.
