The Finnish lighting designer Paavo Tynell created the 9602 floor lamp in 1935 for the Hotel Aulanko located in Hameenlinna, Finland. The lamp is characterized by a wide shade rese mbling a traditional Chinese hat, and a slim, rattan-covered stem, contrasted with shiny brass in the base and on top of the lamp shade. The 9602 lamp is a fine example of Tynell's ability to turn illumination into art and combine different materials seamlessly. The luminaire is part of the Paavo Tynell collection released in 2018 for Gubi. Show more
