Barbara Lewis Entitled Blood Sport, this 1970s screen print on fabric face abstraction is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis st udied at the Art Institute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1970s Screen Print on Fabric 29"x13" framed, 28"x12" unframed Framed in a contemporary wood frame with silver face and black sides.
