Gary L. Shaffer This 1999 lithograph is by New York/San Francisco Abstract Expressionist artist Gary Lee Shaffer (1936-2001). Shaffer trained with Hans Hofmann in the late 1950s an d became an influential member of the Printmakers Workshop in Manhattan. His works are in the permanent collection of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
