Hector Parrot is no ordinary schoolboy – he’s a detective with a knack for uncovering secrets. Strange thefts have been taking place recently, and all of them lead back to Updown S chool. When he hears whispers that someone is trying to steal the world’s largest diamond, Hector sets off on a mission. Will he stop the thief, or will the diamond be lost forever? This humorous detective graphic novel is written and illustrated by Ed Eaves. Lime/Band 11 books have longer sentence structures and a greater use of literary language. Pages 30 and 31 allow children to re-visit the content of the book, supporting comprehension skills, vocabulary development and recall. Ideas for reading in the back of the book provide practical support and stimulating activities. Show more
