Here is the scarce first printing ever in paperback of Ruth Plumly Thompson’s second Oz book and the first to wholly credit her as author! Issued in June, 1985, these first paperba ck editions are the first appearance in paperback of the 1922 book. Prince Pompadore sets out with his friend, Kabumpo the Elegant Elephant, to seek the hand of Princess Ozma so as to thwart a prophecy that has doomed his land to disappear forever! Unfortunately, the former Gnome King, Ruggedo, has magically grown to enormous height and run away with the Royal Palace and all its people on top of his head. Can the Prince and Kabumpo stop the magnified monarch, rescue the Emerald City, and save Pumperdink in time? With 79 black and white illustrations. Show more
