This work provides a complete collection of court records for Cannon County, Tennessee spanning the years 1836-1841, with a full-name index that refers to the page number in the or iginal volume. "The WPA Records are, for the most part, carbon copies of the original that was typed on onion skin paper during the Depression. Since these records were typed on poor machines by people who did not type well either or read by persons not always sure of the older handwritten material, the results are often less than perfect. ... Sometimes there are water stains and burned edges around the paper." Show more
