The presented publication is an illustrative manual with a wealth of details in the field of construction joinery joints, concerning the structural solutions of doors, windows, floors, stairs, and wall cladding, as well as, for example, shop windows and display cases manufactured at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. More than 260 drawings detail the solutions of traditional methods, as well as special constructions, such as shutters, blinds, or window shades, sliding and folding windows, including fittings and other mechanisms. You will also find constructions of beam, panel, and coffered ceilings. We present the text in the same form it had at the time of publication from which we drew (Construction Joinery for Vocational, Craft, and Continuing Education Schools, 2nd revised and expanded edition, 1909). It is therefore obvious that some of the information provided here is no longer valid and some methods have been abandoned. The publication is more of a resource for designers and companies engaged in construction joinery, especially in the reconstruction of historical buildings and the restoration of joinery products. This book should definitely not be missing from your (undoubtedly wooden) library.
