Sebastian Bergman and his colleagues from the police department are back on the scene! Three years have passed. Vanja Lithner has taken command of the Stockholm police department, and the first task of her new team is to track down a sniper who is terrorizing Karlshamn with three murders in just a few days. The police have no leads or witnesses, and it seems that the killer is choosing his victims at random. The next one could be anyone from the locals. Sebastian Bergman has become a grandfather, decided to lead a quieter life, and works part-time as a psychotherapist. However, when he is asked for help by one of the survivors of the 2004 tsunami, during which Sebastian himself lost his wife and daughter, it turns his world upside down. Expectant father Billy decides that he will never again give in to his hidden dark desires. However, the past catches up with him. The question is, how far is Billy willing to go to avoid being discovered.
