A powerful story, poetic text, enchanting illustrations "Down in the valley, a crow sat with a crow, a bear fished with a bear, and a fox played the violin for the foxes. Their songs and laughter peacefully floated through the treetops... until one day a dog appeared." The animals live together in the valley, in peace, but not quite together... until one day a dog shows up. It gobbles up what it can, and no one can stop it. Their entire world is plunged into darkness, and the animals have no choice but to join forces and start anew. This impressive picture book by writer and illustrator Sandra Dieckmann (previously published in Czech as Pady, 2018) is bursting with colors and patterns and tells a powerful story about the importance of friendship and solidarity in difficult times.
