A romantic story with elements of women's emancipation and self-awareness, in which English aristocrats gradually gained more space in society. Lady Betsy Wild's first social season was successful: she received numerous flattering marriage proposals, including one from a duke. However, before Betsy Wild gets married, she longs to experience at least one more adventure, as she feels it is undoubtedly part of the life of a young English noblewoman and that she deserves it. Naturally, no gentleman would agree with her scandalous plan during social conversations. Lord Jeremy, however, is not a gentleman and offers her not only a bet but also an extraordinary and very risky entertainment.
