After Garfield, Snoopy, Calvin, and Hobbes comes another of the legendary heroes of humorous comics - Dilbert. For those who don't know yet, Dilbert is a comic of modern times. It is a typical American story of an introverted engineer and his megalomaniacal dog, full of witty observations (sarcasms), warm friendship (between man and computer), lofty ambitions (delusions of fame), and laughter that shakes the whole belly (easily mistaken for digestive issues). Dilbert appears daily in over 2000 newspapers in 65 countries and 25 languages and was notably the first comic strip made available on the internet (America Online). Scott Adams has been drawing Dilbert since 1989 and draws from experiences he gained as a technical engineer at a California telecommunications company. "How to Scrub a Whale's Tooth" is the first in a series of books collecting Dilbert strips.
