The D series presents the author of the famous novel Master and Margarita as a playwright in its 113th volume. It features two remarkable portraits of two world playwrights, Molièr e and Pushkin, whose dramatic life stories serve the author for a more general reflection on the relationship between the artist and the society that can treat him cruelly and ungratefully, as well as on the life of the artist whose search for reality clashes with the interests of the powerful. It is published in a translation by Alena Morávková. Show more
