Kate has always kept her distance from politics, but the deceased was her relative, and so she reluctantly gets drawn into a whirlwind of intrigue, lies, and secrets, embarking on an investigation that will lead her to a crossroads between the traditional and modern worlds, showing her just how connected she is to her homeland and what she is willing to do for it.
