The underground realm of Xyhtropacu is a world unto itself - endless corridors and countless halls, recesses and chasms, majestic underground domes, as well as lakes or entire underground seas connected by rivers. A world of ruins from the ancient empires of the legendary Xars, endless graveyards with mounds hiding artifacts of unimaginable power and ancient battlefields, around which flow the threads of still-powerful curses. A world inhabited by dozens of races and civilizations, which almost without exception consider any outsiders to be dangerous intruders, or at best, an opportunity to profit from the slave trade. A world where a capable warrior can gather a group of followers, use their help to dominate a band of fighters, seize power in the nearest settlement, then conquer a neighboring town, and stand at the head of a local principality.
