The material collected in this book was processed at the turn of 1970 and 1971. It is a raw personal record of President Buttons from the London branch of the Hell's Angels in England. On his journey to obtain permission to establish the London branch, Buttons travels to the cradle of HA's origins, where he meets not only the legendary Sonny Barger but also other significant figures of the club. The Hell's Angels motorcycle club is the American dream. They are self-proclaimed outlaws, their creed is freedom, pride, and male dominance. They drink, fight, and behave like lords of creation. Contemporary society is unable to tolerate the level of individualism required to become an Angel. The Hell's Angels can never be controlled, which is why society claims they must be logically destroyed. The most absurd redirection of the Angels' energy is the ongoing war between various organizations, which sporadically continues in Britain and is not unknown in California.
