The monograph covers both the traumatology of bone-joint injuries as well as soft tissue injuries of the limbs, spine, and pelvis within the thematic framework of the adult and aging population. The authorial collective presents not only a distinctly orthopedic-traumatological perspective but also a general medical view on contemporary, predominantly bone, traumatology of the musculoskeletal system and spine. The main goal is to present and compare practices used in our community with those commonly applied in Western medicine. The text is divided into twelve chapters and is supplemented with very rich visual documentation. The book is intended for all doctors preparing for certification, for general surgeons, and for readers across various medical fields, including students of general medicine. In addition to current findings, outputs for both practice and scientific research are emphasized.
