Every year, as spring comes, it blooms full and strong. In a small shrine on the outskirts of Kyoto, this cherry tree is rooted deep in the soil, even on a slope that is not very favourable to it, and still shows no signs of needing a support. The dignified appearance of the tree, which has come to be known as the Eternal Cherry Blossom, continues to give courage and hope to those who visit the shrine. Show more
