This is the second installment in the "Satoyama" series, following 2018's "Ni no Kei Onsen Electric Tram" and 2020's "San no Kei Onsen Electric Tram." The story is set around the early Showa period (Showa 1 = 1926). It is set in a fictional hot spring resort where a hot spring was discovered during the Edo period (1603-1868). What began as just a small hot spring inn gradually grew over time into a large public bathhouse and several ryokan (inns). As soon as you get off at a tram stop, you'll find souvenir shops and restaurants right there, and if you cross the bridge to the other side of the river, you'll see several inns clinging to the steep mountainside. All elements-including buildings, steel bridges, wooden bridges, and tunnel entrances (brickwork)-are built from scratch based on original designs.
