This painting was commissioned as a wedding gift for a bride who has always loved Throne of Glass, especially Rowan and Aelin’s relationship. I wanted the piece to feel like more than a just view of Terrasen; perhaps like a symbol of love and finding your way home to one another. It was a challenging painting to bring to life, but making the sunrise slowly appear in the distance became my favourite part.
