A small bluebird chirps from her fir tree post, watching as dusk fills the valley and transforms her world into the soft, nighttime blue. Inspired by the beauty of Alberta’s mounta ins at dusk, this piece was created on a birch panel, something uncommon in my creative process, giving it a different texture and appearance than my other pieces. Note: This original artwork is currently in an exhibit at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.
