A Walk in the Clouds is a 1995 romantic drama directed by Alfonso Arau, released theatrically in the United States on August 11, 1995 by 20th Century Fox. An American-Mexican co-pr oduction and an English-language remake of the 1942 Italian film Four Steps in the Clouds, the film stars Keanu Reeves, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Anthony Quinn, and Giancarlo Giannini, with a screenplay by Robert Mark Kamen, Mark Miller, and Harvey Weitzman and a score by Maurice Jarre, cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezki. Set in 1945 following World War II, the film follows a soldier returning home who impulsively agrees to pose as the husband of a pregnant young woman so she can face her domineering father, only to fall in love with her while helping bring in the grape harvest at her family's Northern California vineyard. Jarre's score earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. Running time is 102 minutes. Show more
