As I stood frozen with fear, it looked directly at me and said, "I am going to teach you how to not be afraid." That message stayed with me, wolf becoming a guide in moments where I found myself standing at the edge of the unknown. The soft gaze of this wolf carries that teaching. I began this painting shortly after making the leap from a stable career into life as a full-time artist.
