Barbara Lewis This 1970s serigraph on paper abstracted cityscape is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Insti tute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1970 Serigraph on Paper 3.5"x8.75" image area unframed Estate stamped on the lower right.
