Barbara Lewis This 1967 intricate monochrome ink on paper abstract is by Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker Barbara Lewis (1925-2008). Lewis studied at the Art Ins titute of Chicago (1943), University of Illinois at Chicago (1967-70), and the IIT Institute of Design (MFA in Printmaking, 1970-72). Through her mixed-media compositions, she explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often using imagery of Chicago and her travels to Europe and Northern Africa. 1967 Ink on Paper 12"x12" framed, 10"x10" unframedEstate stamped lower left; signed on the back.
